Foundation One JEE Advanced – Two-Year IIT Course from Class 11

Foundation One JEE Advanced is a two-year IIT preparation course for students entering Class 11. It goes beyond the JEE Main level: concepts are taught to the depth needed for multi-step, multi-concept JEE Advanced problems in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The IIT-JEE division at Aayam is led by Mayank Patidar, a postgraduate from IIT Indore. Two years give you time to clear JEE Main comfortably and still spend months on the problem-solving depth that JEE Advanced demands.

Who This Course Is For

  • Students whose goal is an IIT seat, not only an NIT.
  • Students who enjoy long, multi-concept problems and want to be stretched.
  • Olympiad and NTSE-type students who want structured IIT preparation.
  • Students who can commit to daily problem practice for two full years.

How the two years are planned

  1. Year 1 – Class 11

Mechanics, waves and thermodynamics; physical and organic chemistry foundations; algebra, calculus basics and coordinate geometry, taught first to JEE Main level and then to Advanced depth.

  2. Depth building

Problem sets with multiple correct options, comprehension passages and matching questions train the reasoning JEE Advanced tests.

  3. Year 2 – Class 12

Electromagnetism, optics, modern physics, Class 12 chemistry, integral calculus, vectors and probability, plus board preparation.

  4. Final months

JEE Main first (January and April sessions), then a focused phase of full JEE Advanced Paper 1 and Paper 2 practice with timing strategy.

Built around the JEE Advanced pattern

  • Two compulsory papers of 3 hours each, taken on the same day and set by one of the IITs.
  • Question formats change every year: single correct, multiple correct with partial marking, numerical answers and matching sets.
  • Only the top JEE Main candidates (about 2.5 lakh) can appear, and under recent rules a candidate gets at most two attempts, in consecutive years.

Foundation One JEE Advanced: Common Questions

Is JEE Main covered in the JEE Advanced course?

Yes. You must qualify JEE Main to sit JEE Advanced, so JEE Main tests run alongside, every 2–3 weeks, with Advanced tests every 4–6 weeks.

Who teaches the IIT-JEE batches?

The division is led by Mayank Patidar (postgraduate, IIT Indore) with a team of IIT and NIT graduate faculty.

How is JEE Advanced preparation different from JEE Main?

JEE Main rewards speed on standard questions. JEE Advanced rewards depth: questions combine several concepts, have more than one correct option and carry partial marks, so practice focuses on reasoning, not only speed.

Do I need to join in Class 11 for JEE Advanced?

It is the best time. Students who join later can take the Foundation Two or Target Course for JEE Advanced.
